Chris founded UniqClean more than six years ago in Hot Springs, Arkansas, after experiencing firsthand how critical cleaning standards are to a successful STR business. After cycling through multiple cleaning companies in less than a year, he realized the biggest risk to his properties wasn’t bookings or pricing — it was inconsistent cleaning.

 

Rather than compromise, he built a solution. What began with a single salaried cleaner supporting three properties has grown into a professional operation now servicing more than 150 properties in Arkansas and over 50 properties in the San Antonio area, with expansion into Fredericksburg, Boerne, and Canyon Ranch.

 

Standards, Systems, and Accountability

 

Maintaining quality at scale is one of the hardest challenges in short-term rental operations. UniqClean addresses this with a multi-tiered quality system that includes cleaners, inspectors, and an operations manager who inspects the inspectors.

 

In the San Antonio market, the company is actively refining training and rebuilding processes to ensure teams are aligned and standards are met across every property. UniqClean also prioritizes market-specific staffing — even when it means absorbing additional cost — to protect outcomes and maintain consistency for owners.
